 INGREDIENTS OF SHAHI PANEER :

Home made Shahi Paneer recipe -
• 4 Servings
* 500 grams paneer
* 2 onion
* 1 inch ginger
* 3 green chilli
* 3 green cardamom
* 1/2 cup yoghurt (curd)
* 1 teaspoon red chilli
* 6 tablespoon ghee
* 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
* 1 cup milk
* 1/2 cup tomato puree
* salt as required
* water as required
* 1/2 cup cashews
* 1/2 cup almonds
For Garnishing
* 1 handful coriander leaves
* 1/4 cup fresh cream

INSTRUCTIONS :

1. Cube onion and tomato, chop ginger ,green chillies.
2. Heat a pan with a tablespoon of oil/ Butter and add cardamom, green chilli and chopped ginger followed by onion.
3. Fry till transparent. Add chopped tomatoes and cook covered until mushy.
4. Cool and blend in a mixer and strain it.
5. Mean while boil water and keep the paneer immersed in the hot water until use.
6. Heat pan with remaining oil/ Butter and add the strained mixture.
7. Add tomato sauce, salt, red chilli, garam masala, pepper powder. Cook covered as it will splutter a lot. Add kasuri methi if adding at this stage
8. Fry till oil separates and forms like a thick paste.
9. Add paneer cubes drained from water.
10. Add milk really slowly with constant stirring, then add cream, mix well.
11. Heat in low flame for 2-3 minutes. No need to boil, just heat it up, switch off flame
